Teens in Orange County never run out of things to do. There is always a fun event happening somewhere in Orange County for teens to enjoy and stay busy. Many of the December 2017 events for teens in Orange County are also for families because it’s the season of family and friends. This season, we celebrate in many different ways and December events in Orange County make it easy to do just that.

The holidays bring magic to the air and that magic also fills the many different December 2017 events for teens in Orange County. Orange County is filled with theme parks and surrounded by them as well. Each theme park has a different event, but all focus on the holiday season. Teens can enjoy Knott’s Merry Farm, Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, Holidays at Legoland and Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood. Each event runs from now until the end of the first week in January 2018. The events bring lights, treats, and so much more to each of the theme parks.
Nutcracker Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Village | December 2, 2017 | 10 am-7 pm
There’s nothing like watching the Nutcracker Ballet during the holiday season. Afterwards, there will be a tree lighting ceremony. During the event, teens can enjoy playing in the snow, eating holiday treats, go rock climbing, and just enjoy the season with friends and family in Downtown Anaheim.
Winter Fest OC at the OC Fair | Dec 21, 2017 – Jan 7, 2018
Winter Fest is an event that invites the whole family out to enjoy many different attractions. Teens will especially enjoy the ice tubing, two million light walk-through show, ice skating, and tree lighting ceremony that happens nightly. The entire event is filled with seasonal foods and there is even real snow to play in and carnival rides to ride.
Newport Beach Boat Parade | Dec 13-17 | 6:30 PM
Newport Harbor comes to life during December as holiday decorated yachts, boats, kayaks, and even canoes set sail around the harbor. This year is the 109th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and is hosted by the Commodores Club. The best part is, the event is free and teens love events that are free.
Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade | Dec 9, 2017 | 10 AM
For a real push into the holiday season, head over to Crown Valley Parkway for the best holiday parade in town. Marching bands, floats, exotic cars, youth groups and so much more have entered to take part in the parade that is a SoCal tradition. The event is free and there is even a free shuttle from the Federal Building parking lot.
Corona Del Mar Christmas Walk | 11 AM – 4 PM
The Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce presents one of the most beloved events for teens in Orange County, the Christmas Walk. During the walk, everyone is invited to enjoy live entertainment, food, games and more that help brings the holiday spirit to life. The event is free to get into but some aspects may come with a cost.
Dana Point Harbor Boat Parade | Dec 8, 9, 15 & 16 | 4:30 PM
Newport Harbor isn’t the only harbor getting into the holiday spirit, so is Dana Point Harbor. The entire harbor will come to life with holiday activities and the star on the tree will be the boat parade. The City of Dana Point will also provide a trolley service each day starting at 3:30 pm until 10:30 pm for visitors from all over the area.
