The goal has always been to keep students as safe as possible. Unfortunately, there is no way to control other drivers, and accidents happen. That is why vehicles need to have high safety ratings. These safety precautions help keep you safe in the event of an accident. For example, airbags help prevent you from hitting any part of your body too hard against the inside of a car in the event of an accident. However, these safety measures don’t guarantee everything would be okay. That guarantee is almost impossible to achieve.

COVID 19

The Varsity Driving Academy COVID 19 protective barrier is one of the ways the vehicles at Varsity Driving Academy will be changing. However, there is no guarantee that students will not catch the virus. Airbags don’t guarantee your safety and the barrier may not guarantee safety either. However, the protective measure that can be done without putting a stop to driver training altogether. We are all still learning a lot about the virus and that means there are also still a lot of unknowns. However, space and protective barriers seem to be a staple to help prevent human contact. That is why you will see new barriers in every Varsity Driving Academy vehicle

The Barrier

The idea is simple, protect the students as much as possible. There are many different measures taking place at Varsity Driving Academy. For example, every trainer will get temp checks before starting their shifts. We are cleaning the inside and outside of every car. Varsity Driving Academy has always only had one student in the car with a trainer at a time, so there doesn’t need to be any changes there. We are also installing protective barriers in every car. These barriers go between the driver and passenger seats from top to bottom. This adds a level of protection for both the students and the trainers. Behind the wheel training doesn’t need to end because of the virus, it just needs to adapt. That is exactly what Varsity Driving Academy has done; adapted.
